Former CFL head coach named football assistant
Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill announced the hiring of long-time Canadian Football League head coach Danny Barrett as the Bulls' assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach.
Barrett served as a head coach and assistant general manager in the Canadian Football League, Barrett also played quarterback at the Division I level as well as the CFL for 14 seasons. During his three seasons as an assistant coach, his teams combined for a 32-22 regular season mark. Barrett was most recently head coach and assistant general manager for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.
MAC upholds actions of officials in Bowling Green-Buffalo game
Mid-American Conference Commissioner Rick Chryst announced that following a thorough review of the series of events at the end of the Tuesday night's Bowling Green at Buffalo men's basketball game, the game officials acted within their discretion and within the basketball rules in applying a delay of game technical foul to the Bowling Green team, which had left the playing court before the conclusion of the game.
The result ended in Buffalo's favor as they won in overtime 98-90.
