Athletes of the Week named

Seniors Roy Richards and Sarah Vance of the Bulls track teams were named Athletes of the Week.

Richards broke his own school record while competing in the long jump at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York City this past weekend. Jumping against competitors from across the nation he posted a distance of 24 feet, 11.25 inches and met an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. He finished second only to Arkansas's Mychael Stewart, who put up a length of 25 feet, 1.25 inches. He also competed in the 60-meter dash placing 28th out of 76 runners with a time of 6.96.

Vance also competed in the New Balance Collegiate Invitation and placed third amongst all competitors in the shot put. She recorded a toss of 51 feet, 10.5 inches, which was beaten only by members of the Texas A&M Aggies and the Kentucky Wildcats.


Women's Club Hockey seeks players

The Freeze, Buffalo's women's club ice hockey team, is seeking all interested players. The team plays in the Division I American Collegiate Hockey Association and competes across the nation against other top-flight club teams. Anyone interested should contact head coach Craig Maslona at craigmaslona@mandtbank.com. The team will be closing out its season with a pair of games next weekend at Maine.


Bulls host youth baseball clinic

Buffalo will host a pair of baseball clinics for local players during February. A High School clinic will be held on Feb. 11 form 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. On President's Day weekend, the Bulls will host a two-day clinic, Feb. 19-20 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. For more information contact assistant coach Jim Koerner at Koerner@buffalo.edu.
