Vinyl records great for old and new music

I would like to comment on Steven Gordon's article on vinyl records ("The lost art of choosing sides," Jan. 24). I found it to be very interesting, and its good to know that there are other people out there who appreciate turntables. In today's world of ultra modern technology, there is almost something romantic about putting on a record, and seeing the needle physically create the music.

It's also a good way to connect to the past; if you're lucky enough, you might even be able to go through your parents or grandparents old record collection and discover music that is no longer produced, that you may not have ever known existed. Also, I'd like to add that records are not only for old music; if you search online you can find many brand new rock and rap albums for sale in stores devoted solely to vinyl. Enjoy the music!
