Schroeder signs with Wranglers
Former Buffalo Bulls' defensive tackle Rob Schroeder has signed a contract with the Arena Football League's Austin Wranglers. Since graduating from the University at Buffalo in May of 2006, Schroeder has played for the Continental Indoor Football League's Rochester Raiders, and was a member of the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats practice squad.
In his senior season, the East Rochester, N.Y. native led the team with 13 tackles for a loss, to go along with 37 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Bell and Clarke named to the All-Great Lakes Region team
Forward Andrae Clarke and goalkeeper Daniel Bell- two senior members of the 2006 men's soccer team - were named to the All-Great Lakes Region third team this season. Bell's goals against average of 0.86 placed him third in the Mid-American Conference, while he also posted three shutouts. Bell's 33 wins are the most in school history, and ties him for second all-time with a 1.14 GAA.
Clarke led the team and was second in the MAC with eight goals, and led the team with 19 points. This season, Clarke became the third player in team history to lead the team in both goals and points in three seasons.
