Wrestlers receive preseason honors
The Mid-American Conference has announced its preseason wrestling ranks, which includes a number of Buffalo grapplers.
Most notable is senior 133-pound captain Mark Budd of the wrestling team, who has been picked to repeat as MAC Champion. Budd is also within the top 15 wrestlers in his weight class nationally in a number of different publications, with wrestlingreport.com ranking him the highest at seventh.
Four other Buffalo wrestlers are ranked within the conference. Junior 141-pounder Ryan Needle and junior 149-pounder Dana Gingerich have been ranked to finish in second-place in the MAC. Two other Bulls wrestlers, junior Mike Ragusa and freshman Ricky Scott, each have been picked to place third in the conference at the 165 and 184-pound weight classes, respectively.
