Halloween Costume Ideas

Three simple rules for Halloween costume success:

1. Simplicity and affordability.

2. Originality (who wants 20 ghosts at one party?).

3. Make Oem laugh and have fun.

1. Gumball Machine - use a clear plastic bag and colored balloons

2. Pair of Dice - grab a friend and paint or draw black circles on cardboard boxes

3. Buffalo Sabres player - wear their jersey, carry a hockey stick and black out a tooth (or two)

4. UPS guy - wear a brown shirt and brown pants, carry boxes and label yourself

5. Red Neck - old, tattered clothes (preferably plaid flannel), checkered or orange hat, shoes with holes tied to a can of beer

6. Caveman (easy version: caveman from the Geico commercials)- keep hair messy, skip the morning shave, forget about shoes and find a big stick

7. Classic Mobster - Think Marlon Brando. Dark suit, spats over dress shoes, slick hair, gold pocket watch and a rounded top hat, donOt forget the accent

8. Pumpkin head - wear entirely black, gut out a large pumpkin and carve holes for eyes and mouth

9. James Dean - jeans, black short sleeved t-shirt, slick hair, teenage rebellious grimace, a leather jacket or pea coat

10. Quail Man (from the cartoon Doug) - white underwear over khaki shorts, belt around head, and a red cape

11. Someone from the 80s - use pieces from your own wardrobe, long tunic shirts, large chunky, color jewelry, big hair, colored nails, flats

12. Cafeteria Lady - apron, hair net and a big spoon

13. Monk/Nun/Traveling Preacher/Consecrated Virgin - carry a crucifix and the word of the Lord

14. Sexy Lifeguard - red shorts, whistle, life saving device or floaties and lots of suntan lotion

15. Emeril Lagasse, the chef - white coat, cooking pot, say OBam!O over and over until your friends make you bob for apples involuntarily until you shut up

16. Geisha girl - white makeup, parasol or flowered fabric (wrap around yourself into a tunic)

17. Homeless person - plastic shopping bags inside your shoes/boots, scummy hat, oversized coat, tin can for spare change, cardboard sign that says something like ONinjas killed my family, need money for kung-fu lessonsO

18. Hobbit - shorts, draw hairs on your feet, hobo bag for traveling because they eat many meals, speak with a British accent

19. Black eyed pea - paint eye black, wear letter OPO on shirt

20. Mr. Clean - shave head, earring, white t-shirt and jeans
