The Student Union will be serving up free apple cider, doughnuts, caramel apples and hot chocolate this Monday and Tuesday for the 7th Annual Haunted Union, sponsored by Student Life and the Student Programming Board.
Pumpkin carving and cookie decorating, along with a costume contest and trick-or-treating are also on the agenda.
Psychics will be reading the fortunes of students curious about the future in the flag room, and Tuesday at midnight in the Student Union Theater there will be a free screening of the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," complete with actors, water guns and rice.
"It is tradition for us to do something - the Haunted House especially. The student groups really look forward to this event," said Jennifer Wantz, assistant director of student activities.
Every year new decorations are added to the old ones, and the design of the haunted house is changed.
"Student Life pays for the Haunted Union festivities, but you cannot put a price on it," Wantz said. "We have been collecting decorations for 6 years - every year we buy more and mix it with the past stuff."
Nearly 320 volunteers will work in the Haunted Union for the two-day event.
