The Bulls made quick work of Syracuse at Alumni Arena on Tuesday night as they swept the Orange three games to none. The victory extended the Bulls winning streak to six straight matches - the team's longest streak since 1997.
All three games came down to the wire as the Bulls won two out of the three games by two points. The final score of the three games were 30-28, 30-28 and 30-24. Senior Nikki Morzenti finished with a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs to lead the Bulls in the win. Senior Jenna Mape contributed to the victory with a match high 15 kills. Freshman Kelsey Leuders continued the great start to her collegiate career as she added seven blocks to her already MAC leading total.
The Bulls team showed its ability to overcome deficits as Buffalo came from behind to win all three games. The team's largest deficit came in game two when they were down 22-15. However, the Bulls finished the game on a winning15-6 run.
The Bulls will take their six game win streak on the road as they head to the Holy Cross Invitational. Buffalo will face Rhode Island on Friday night and then play a double-header on Saturday against Holy Cross at 2 p.m. and Army at 5 p.m.
