"Caddyshack" (1980)
The traditional plot of the rich taking from the poor, but on a golf course. Set on exclusive greens, Murray plays the whacked-out Carl Spackler. Spackler is the golf course grounds keeper who lives in a rundown old shack. The unforgettable scene, and quite possibly one of the funniest in the film, is when Ty Webb (Chevy Chase), hits his golf all in to Spackler's shack. Another golden performance by Murray.
"Meatballs" (1979)
In this Canadian film, Murray plays Tripper Harrison, the zany camp counselor who easily seduces girls and constantly teases his boss. Played perfectly by Murray with his signature laugh, Harrison gets kicks from pulling pranks on the rich kids at a nearby camp. He is the good natured, look-up-to counselor that encourages the campers to try their best to win the Olympics. The flagship film for Bill Murray fans.
