Rockman sets record
Bulls senior Mike Rockman recorded the most singles wins in team history on Saturday as the Bulls opened play at the Dartmouth Vocal Shootout.
Rockman defeated Boston University's Barrett Wolf on Friday to tie the school record of 69 singles wins in a career. Rockman then passed former player and current UB assistant coach Nick Zieziula on Saturday to claim the top spot with his 70th career victory.
UB sponsors basketball camp
The Division of Athletics will be sponsoring the Higher Heights Basketball Clinic, Saturday Sept. 16 at McCarthy Park. There will be 75 to 100 middle school students expected to attend the clinic, which will run from 10 a.m. until noon.
Participants will receive instruction in six basketball skills, including shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, footwork and rebounding. The students from University Heights will also have an opportunity to talk to Bulls coaches and players, including Buffalo basketball head coaches Reggie Witherspoon and Linda Hill-MacDonald.
