Individual comments do not speak for entire religions or cultures

Just a quick comment about what the Pope said ("Pope adds fuel to the fire, Sept. 20"): regardless what religious leaders say, or what newspapers print disrespectful cartoons of Mohammad, it is wrong to resort to violence against those not responsible for such actions. I am referring to the killings of Christians in Nigeria by Muslims in response to the political cartoon awhile back, which then led to retaliation against Muslims. Just because the Pope or a newspaper columnist says or prints something, doesn't mean it reflects the beliefs of all people of that faith.
