The Buffalo Police have been cracking down on parking violations, and the Buffalo blogging community has been up in arms. The people at BfloBlog.com snapped the above picture, and other Buffalo sites document exorbitant ticketing throughout the city, with the notable exception of vehicles parked illegally in front of BPD headquarters - many of those vehicles have been ignored.
The Police union says they're trying to get a raise, but many claim the crackdown scares people from downtown. A Buffalo Common Council vote made public parking free this week, but it remains to be seen how long the crackdown will continue. Parkers beware.
