Movies robbed at Oscars

Current: Pulp Fiction (1994)

Lost to "Forrest Gump"

Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece stands as the greatest film of the 1990s and is a testament to fresh writing, brilliant directing, and a film that revived the careers of many of its stars.

Classic: The Elephant Man (1980)

Lost to "Ordinary People"

"The Elephant Man" brought director David Lynch into the mainstream. Shot in grim black and white, it is "a study in human dignity" which educates about the realities faced by the disabled of London in the 19th century. It expertly illustrates how one can overcome adversity in the most touching and pure sense.
