Wilson keeps Bills in Buffalo

Letter to the editor

Greetings from Virginia. Interesting piece ("Remembering the glory days," Feb. 8) but you're way too young to remember the really dark ages of Bills football. For those of us who grew up in WNY in the late '60s, '70s and early '80s (me being a 1978 grad of Williamsville East) I can tell you that those days were really bleak. Oh sure, we had O.J., but that was about it. My God, the Bills were 0-for-the-'70s against the Dolphins.

The one thing for sure about "old man" Wilson is that as long as he's alive, the team stays in WNY. My fear is that once he's dead and gone the team shuffles off and then we'll wish for 5-11 seasons.
