The Student-wide Judiciary is expected to rule this week on the alleged misconduct of Student Association Treasurer Mazin Kased, almost a year after accusations of bribery, slander and perjury were filed against SA's executive board.
"We closed the investigation," said John Grela, director of Public Safety, referring a criminal investigation into the charges.
All findings from the University Police have been turned over to the Student-wide Judiciary for review. Because the case is ongoing, Grela could not divulge the police's findings.
Originally filed by former SUNY SA candidate Matthew Pelkey to the SA Election & Credentials Committee, the charges were deferred to the judiciary earlier this month.
"A decision is being made right now," said William Sherlock, chief justice of the Student-wide Judiciary. Sherlock expects that he will have his ruling finalized and mailed to all involved parties by Friday.
