Tear-Jerkin' Sports Movies

Current: Murderball (2005)

An inspirational and poignant picture about the limitless bounds of human ambition and drive, "Murderball" chronicles the lives of the United States' official paraplegic rugby team, a sport otherwise known as "Murderball" for the sport's violent nature. Whether it's the suspenseful action on the court, or the moving stories of the players, this movie will tug at everyone's heartstrings.

Classic: Brian's Song (1971)

This male chick-flick will have even the most hard-hearted jocks babbling like babies. It stars Billy Dee Williams and James Caan as Gayle Sayers and Brian Piccolo, who are best friends and running backs for the Chicago Bears. When Piccolo comes down with a terminal illness, be sure to have that pack of Kleenex handy.
