The release of "Good Night and Good Luck" will surely spark some interest in films pertaining to journalism, a subject near and dear to our hearts. Here are a couple others that have done the same for us.


This week's theme: Journalistic cinema







Current: "Shattered Glass"

It is the story of the downfall of plagiarism artist Stephen Glass who made up more than half of his articles for "The New Republic" magazine. Their subsequent ostracizing of Glass illustrates the emphasis on truth in journalism.








Classic: "All the President's Men"

Two journalists followed the tip of the century, leading to a series of articles that contributed to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Hoffman and Redford helped foster an unprecedented interest in investigative journalism with their performances.
