Gas Facts



  1. The price of fuel has gone up 58.6 percent since Feb. 2004.

  2. The transportation fee, part of the comprehensive fee, went up $11.50 from last year, and that was before the recent spike in fuel prices.

  3. UB will be spending approximately $100,000 more than last year just to keep campus vehicles moving.

  4. UB purchases 120,000 gallons of gasoline per year.

  5. UB owns and operates 350 vehicles, which includes police cruisers, lawnmowers and snowplows.

  6. UB spends $60,000 per year on light bulbs alone.
