I'm writing in response to an article by Bill Nielsen regarding the Buffalo mayoral election. Mr. Nielsen characterized this as a three-way race for mayor mentioning Byron Brown, Kevin Helfer and Charles Flynn. If he were paying attention, he would know this is actually a four-way race, which includes Judith Einach.
Approximately 4,000 voters showed their support for Ms. Einach by signing her Democratic primary and independent nominating petitions. She is not part of the local political machine, but a truly independent candidate. Although it seems the local media would have voters believe this race is only between Brown and Helfer, there is still plenty of time for voters to learn about all the candidates, including Ms. Einach (www.judy4mayor.org), before they cast their ballots in November.
