UB Sports Hall of Fame
The Division of Athletics announced five alumni will be enshrined in the UB Athletic Hall of Fame on Feb. 6. Among the five are Rasaun Young, Mike Martinho, Lynette Bubel DelFavero, Kathleen Brinkworth and Marcus Hutchins. Those five will make up the 2004 Hall of Fame class.
Young and Martinho played in the UB backcourt together for three seasons and were ranked the eighth best backcourt in Division I basketball heading into the 1997-98 season. DelFavero graduated as the career-scoring leader in UB women's basketball history. Brinkworth led Division I volleyball in blocks per game during the 1995-96 season. Hutchins was the only UB wrestler to have wrestled for UB in three Division I wrestling championships.
