Spectrum Athlete of the Week

Roderick Middleton, of the men's basketball team is this week's Spectrum Athlete of the Week.

Middleton, a sophomore guard, had a huge second half in UB's 85-73 victory over Northern Illinois. Middleton scored all 11 of his points in the second half of the game. He also added three steals and for assists for UB.

UB Men's Tennis

The men's tennis team dropped its spring season opener Saturday. The Bulls were swept 7-0 by Brown University.

The UB doubles teams put up a strong fight,but weren't able to take a victory. Randy Rocchio and Nick Zieziula dropped a close match to Brown's Ben Brier and Nick Goldberg by a score of 9-7. Josh Liederman and Mike Rockman lost to Eric Thomas and Zack Pasanen, 8-6.

The Bulls are set to take part in the Harvard Invitational starting Thursday.


MAC Basketball


There are 12 Mid-American Conference men's basketball games on slate starting this Wednesday and running until Friday.

UB will play Akron at home on Wednesday and will also go head-to-head with Ball State this Sunday.

The team with the best record in the MAC, Western Michigan (13-2, 6-1 MAC), will also play twice, at home on Wednesday against Ohio and then again on Sunday against in-state rival Eastern Michigan.
