"Bookstore Prices Too High, Buyback Amounts Too Low"

Letter To the Editor

It's that time of year, again. No, I am not talking about the holidays. I'm talking about another chance to rake over the poor students at UB. And I am talking a major rake over.

I bought four books for a history class and paid at least $200. When I sold them back to the bookstore at UB, I received a total of $5. You know - enough for lunch at Burger King or McDonalds.

Now, the bookstore at UB will turn around and sell these same four books for another $200 and give the next poor student another $5 when he or she sells the books back to the bookstore.

Does everyone get the picture? Do you see how much money the bookstore at UB is making and how much the poor students at UB are being screwed over?

Here's a solution I think would be more fair (Hey, a problem with an answer. How about that!) I think the bookstore at UB should give the poor students at UB at least 50 percent of what they intend to resell the book for. It is only fair.
