Women's Tennis
The women's tennis team had four competitors in the weekend's Big Green Invitational, hosted by Dartmouth College. Bulls' freshman Miglena Nenova was the runner up in the B singles bracket,sand was the Bulls' top finisher. Nenova was 3-1 in the tournament, falling only to Lauren Leo of St. John's in the championship. Kristen Ortman, Katrin Fischer and Erica Zielinski also competed in the tournament, which was the final event of the fall for UB.
Mid-American Conference
The University of Central Florida, which joined the MAC in 2002, has decided to join Conference USA in 2005. UCF joins Marshall, Southern Methodist University, Rice and Tulsa in the revamped C-USA. The MAC extended an invitation for all sport participation to UCF in October, but the invitation was declined. The move is part of a major shakeup of athletics conferences that was touched off by the Atlantic Coast Confrences's expansion to include Miami, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
