Basketball Week

On Monday, The Spectrum's coverage of UB basketball will resume and commence with a week devoted to the ballers of Buffalo. All your UB b-ball needs will be satisfied with our in depth coverage of both the women's and men's teams.

Expect previews, profiles, Q and A sessions, and of course, sweet, sweet graphics. Keep an eye out for the Monday edition of The Spectrum.

Women's Crew

The two women's crew teams, the novice four and varsity four, performed well Saturday at the Frostbite Regatta on Philadelphia's Schuykill River. The matches were played by heats, with the overall heat scores being combined to determine the winner. Both novice four and varsity four won their individual heats and finished first overall among all entries. Crew wraps up the fall season this weekend with the Rivanna Romp in Charlottesville, Va.

B Basketball

Both men's and women's basketball teams will be holding an open practice on November 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in Alumni Arena. Included in the Tim Hortons "Bulls Open Practice" will be drills, scrimmages and skills contests including a slam dunk challenge. Fans will also be allowed to select a seat for season tickets with the assistance of the UB Ticket Office. Admission to the event is free.

Club Ice Hockey

The Ice Bulls are off to a good start to the season with a record of 9-5-0. The team is taking a four game winning streak into this weekend when they play both the University of Rochester and Eastern Collegiate Hockey League leading Niagara University on the road. Junior forward Bill Mosler is currently tied for fifth in the league with 22 points, with fellow junior Sean Moskal one point behind.
