Volleyball

The Bulls split their final two matches of the season at Marshall and Ohio. On Friday night the Bulls shut out the Thundering Herd 3-0, with Lindsay Matikosh leading Buffalo with 13 kills and 13 digs. UB had the tables turned on them Saturday, as they were shutout by the Bobcats, 3-0. Matikosh led the way again with 12 kills and 14 digs. The Bulls, who finished the season 11-19 overall and 5-11 in the MAC, are seeded 11 in the MAC tournament and will face off against the No. 6 seed NIU on Tuesday.

Buffalo Sabres

Pittsburgh's Aleksey Morozov scored a goal three minutes nine seconds into the overtime session to give the Penguins a 2-1 victory over the Sabres on Friday. Daniel Briere scored for the Sabres in the first, but the Sabres couldn't hold on, as they lost a game in which they scored first for the first time this season. Drake Berehowksy scored the Penguins' other goal. The win extended Pittsburgh's unbeaten streak against the Sabres to eight games.

Cross Country

The men and women's cross country teams took part in the NCAA regionals over the weekend in Boston. The women's team took 16th out of 36, while the men took 20th out of 33 teams. Jenny Koeppel was the Bulls' top finisher, finishing 21 out of 245 runners. Andy Wigton, running in his first 10k race of the season, was the top men's finisher, crossing the line 88th out of 233 runners.
