Buffalo Sabres


Goaltender Martin Biron was named the NHL Defensive Player of the Week for his 3-0 record and 1.92 Goals Against Average performance on the longest road trip in Sabres history. The Sabres went 4-2 on the trip, giving them a winning record for the first time this season. The Sabres are 5-4-0-0 with 10 points, only two points off division leader Boston. The Sabres next play Toronto on Thursday.


Bulls Football

Two Buffalo Bulls were honored this week by the MAC conference for superior play and achievements. Senior Mark Graham was named MAC East Divison Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Ohio, which included 15 tackles (10 solo), a fumble recovery and three tackles for loss. Senior Dallas Pelz was named Special Teams Player of the Week for his four field goals in the game. UB plays in Toledo on Saturday.


Quote of the Day

"In the second half we just kind of had some turnovers, they scored, and there's not much else to say. We knew that was going to happen, but we just didn't bounce back from it," said Ohio safety Rob Stover to the The Post of Ohio University.

Yes, you did give up the football. When you know it will happen and plan for it, that's not good football. Instead, you should plan on not dropping the rock.
