Men's Basketball

Bulls' junior guard Turner Battle was named to the Pre-season All-Mid-American Conference East Division team. Battle is the only non-senior to be named to the team and is the first UB player to earn the honor. Last season, Battle led UB in scoring (12.7ppg), assists (4.5 apg) and steals (1.9 spg). He was named the All-MAC team as an honorable mention and the All-MAC Academic Team, despite missing the end of the season with an injury.

Women's Basketball

Senior Jessica Kochendorfer has been named to the Pre-season All-Mid-American Conference East Division team. Kochendorfer has averaged 11.2 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game over her career as a Bull. Kochendorfer, who is the second UB player to earn the honor, also earned it prior to last season. Kochendorfer needs 69 points to be the 13th UB player to record 1,000 points in her career.

Spectrum Athlete of the Week

For the second time this season, Emily Russell is The Spectrum's Athlete of the Week. Russell continued her stellar season, scoring four goals during the Bulls road trip last weekend. Russell had a hat-trick Saturday as the Bulls beat Marshall 3-1. Russell then added the game's only goal in Sunday's 1-0 win over Ohio. Russell currently leads the MAC in goals (11) and points (24).
