Cross Country

Andy Wigton, a sophomore, has been named Co-Runner of the Week by the Mid-American Conference. Wigton recently won the William and Mary Tribe Open, an 8-kilometer event, by six seconds with a time of 25:22.57, on Oct.18. Wigton also won the UB Open with a time of 26:11.7 the week before. He shares the award with Miami runner David Mitchell.

Spectrum Athlete of the Week

JJ Gibson, a junior on the football team, is this week's Spectrum Athlete of the Week. In the Bulls 26-16 loss to Marshall Gibson recorded three sacks and led UB with eight tackles, seven of which were solo stops. Gibson is fourth on the team with 30 solo tackles on the season and has had a total of 43 takedowns this year.

Goat of the Day

The Yankees' Jeff Weaver blew Wednesday night's World Series game four, spoiling both Roger Clemens' final start and a two-run, game tying Yankee rally in the ninth inning. As a result, Weaver, who has been miserable since being traded to the Yankees, has earned today's Goat of the Day honor.
