UB Cross Country


The University at Buffalo men's and women's cross country teams placed fourth and fifth respectively on Saturday at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio. The men's squad ranked fourth in the five-team field with 79 points, 10 points out of second place. Meanwhile, the women's team placed fifth among seven squads with a total score of 101 points. Jenny Koeppel was the women's top finisher, placing seventh out of 75 runners. The men's top finisher was Dan McKenna, who placed 11th out of 52 runners.


UB Volleyball


The UB Volleyball team lost all three of their matches this weekend at the UCF Fall Invitational. The Bulls lost to Georgia Southern (30-21, 30-21, 30-26), Central Flordia (30-28, 30-17, 28-30, 30-28) and Mid-American Conference Rival Central Michigan (30-18. 30-23, 30-20). Bulls' junior Molly Schrantz was named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Bulls with 2.5 kills, 3.6 digs and .5 blocks per game


MAC Football


The Miami (OH) RedHawks defeated the Northwestern Wildcats 44-14, marking the fifth straight time the RedHawks have won over the Wildcats as they jump back to 1-1 on the season. Standout quarterback Ben Roethlisberger rebounded from his opening game struggles to throw for 353 yards, his seventh career 300-yard game.
