Women's Tennis

The UB women's tennis team began the 2003-04 season with a thruway series against Rochester, resulting in a 7-0 win over the Yellowjackets on Sunday. The Bulls won all six singles matches and two doubles matches as well as notching a victory in a doubles match that was unscored. The Bulls open their home schedule Sunday, September 21, when they host St. Francis (PA) at the UB Tennis Center at 10 a.m.

MAC Football

Four MAC teams face off against ranked opponents this Saturday. Marshall travels to No. 6 Kansas State, Northern Illinois will travel to face No. 21 Alabama and Bowling Green travels to Columbus, Ohio to face the No. 4 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Meanwhile, Toledo plays host to the No. 11 ranked Pittsburgh Panthers.

Spectrum Athlete of the Week

Nicole Olszewski is this week's Spectrum Athlete of the Week. A senior forward/midfielder on the women's soccer team, Olszewski scored two goals in the Bulls 4-0 pounding of Northern Illinois. She is currently the Bulls third leading scorer, with three goals and one assist.
