First off there has been a lot of criticism about new Monday Night Football eye candy, I mean sideline reporter, Lisa Guerrero who is in her first year of this gig replacing the beloved Melissa Stark. Let's face it; this girl is out of it. She looks lost, keeps giving us, the viewers, misinformed information; and blonde hair is so much better.
Experts in the sports world are saying to give her time and she'll fit right in. Give her time? She's been doing this for six weeks. How much more time does she need. Sure she has experience, experience with that "sports show," "The Best Damn Sports Show Period." Riiiiiiiight.
So if Stark doesn't come back I really think MNF should dump Guerrero and pick up Jillian Barberie from Fox's NFL Sunday. She'd be a perfect fit. She already does, umm, the weather for Fox NFL, and please, it can't be that hard to tell the whole nation on live TV what Bill Parcells said at halftime. I'm sure Barberie could do it just fine and with style.
How can you not root for the Bills to go all the way? With Drew and his crew tearing up opposing defenses and Takeo Spikes and company taking care of our defense, there is no doubt in my mind that the Bills will be making a serious run through the playoffs, not the golf courses that the Jets seem to be headed to. Hell, I'm sure Vinny and the J-E-T-S already have their tee times booked in Myrtle Beach.
Honestly though, for the Bills to beat the 'Fins in Miami they'll need to stop Ricky Williams who torched the Bills last year in both games for over 280 yards. You stop Williams then you make Fielder throw the ball to his no name receivers.
Eric Moulds will be ready for this weekend's game, especially after Brock Marion's accusation of Moulds spitting on cornerback Pat Surtain last year. According to The Miami Herald, Marion "lost all respect" for Moulds for that so called incident. Marion should just shut his mouth - he's a safety. He won't be covering Moulds, he'll be off in the distance doing nothing but thinking about why they won't be making the playoffs.
Speaking of making the MLB better, instead of doing away with the Tigers, why not do away with the Mets? Face it Met fans, your team was doomed from the start and was out of playoff contention from week two. Sure it looked good on paper. Maybe instead of signing washed up players who want $10 million a year, the Mets should start from the ground up. Yeah, I'm sure that would fly in New York City.
I really hope the Chicago Cubs make the playoffs and by some chance make it to the World Series. There is no other team in MLB that is more deserving. Boston fans, I'm sure you can wait another year or 10. The Cubs have a great starting rotation that begins with Mark Prior and Kerry Wood and an awesome supporting cast starring Moises Alou, Sammy Sosa and Ryne Sandberg - wait he doesn't play anymore.
Anyways the Cubs are destined - yes I said destined - to go to the playoffs this year in Dusty Baker's first year with the Cubbies.
Looks like the Scorpions are making a quick comeback with their "hit" song "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Seems like every radio station I tune into, I hear that song. Even if it's only for like 3.45 seconds.
Thanks Isabel.
