Reading and waiting for every one of its issues, I was completely shocked at how The Spectrum "recommended" the Results Party for almost two full pages on Monday.
Does it mean, if needed, UB Students' Party will have to pay roughly $1,000 (since it costs $468 per page) for what the Results Party has for free? Isn't The Spectrum a student publication as it claims on the front page? Don't the UB Students' Party members pay their subscription fee to keep The Spectrum alive, too? Don't they deserve a "welcome to the newcomers," just for giving the election a try?
Unfortunately, the endorsements on page seven and nine of The Spectrum on Monday has made students think it is published by Oliver and his officers, not by undergraduate students who have always been big advocates for honesty, fair play, and greatness. This badly damages the Results Party image. Even if it wins, the Results Party will not have a real "victory," though wonderful as it has been.
