More Records Broken in Bulls Loss

The women's basketball team surrendered 16 3-pointers on Wednesday night and suffered its worst loss in the final game of the regular season. The Bulls (15-14, 8-8 Mid-American Conference) took a beating from Bowling Green (25-4, 13-3 MAC) despite 32 points from senior forward Kourtney Brown.

Bulls Break Records and Bobcats on Senior Day

The women's basketball team took an opportunity to honor its seniors and beat down a conference rival all in the same night. Saying that this game was exciting would be an understatement, as Buffalo (15-13, 8-7 Mid-American Conference) overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Ohio (7-21, 3-12 MAC) by the score of 70-65. The Bulls' secret weapon, senior forward Bridgette Kendricks, showed why she is just that as she came out scoring Buffalo's first five points and collecting the team's first four rebounds.

Bulls Get Zipped

Wings and wows were shared by all in attendance for a dramatic conference showdown at Alumni Arena on Wednesday evening. In the last matchup of a three-game home stretch, the Bulls (13-12, 6-6 Mid-American Conference) lost a nailbiter against Akron (12-12, 5-7 MAC). An impressive effort from the Zips' bench players led to a 71?67 win over Buffalo on Wing Wednesday. Junior guard Brittany Hedderson had a career shooting performance in the game, but the result would not match her success.

Broncos Can't Buck With the Bulls

Fans that showed up on Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Arena were treated to the women basketball team's best defensive performance of the season. Shooting woes were the story of the game and Western Michigan (6-17, 2-8 Mid-American Conference) shot 22 percent from the field, including 0-for-15 from 3-point territory.

Bulls Go Bird Hunting

Saturday wasn't a good day to visit Alumni Arena if you were wearing anything other than blue and white. Just days after senior forwards Kourtney Brown and Jessica Fortman made history in a huge win over Central Michigan (12-7, 4-3 Mid-American Conference), the Bulls (11-10, 4-4 MAC) trampled the Ball State Cardinals (9-12, 4-4 MAC) by a score of 77-61. The Cardinals seemed to be overwhelmed in the opening minutes, when Brown scored nine of Buffalo's first 11 points to put the Bulls ahead.

Overtime unkind

The women's basketball team has found itself free-falling down a slippery slope filled with late-game collapses and overtime defeats this season. Buffalo has struggles to bounce back from losses and has fallen victim to three losing streaks – the longest of which lasted seven games.
