"Bulls look for first win, host Stony Brook"

With the nightmare matchups of Heisman Trophy candidates Braxton Miller (Ohio State) and Lache Seastrunk (Baylor) behind them, the Bulls welcome an FCS school to their home field. Buffalo (0-2) opened the season surprising many by holding then-No.

UB Athletics set to debut new pre-game experience

When Athletic Director Danny White took over in 2012, he said he would bring big-time college athletics to Buffalo. Prior to the Bulls taking on Stony Brook in their home opener on Saturday, UB fans will see the first big game-day change under White. This season, students can tailgate in a different area from that of the general public.

Volleyball continues to dominate

The volleyball team came into this season with high expectations. The squad had the formula for success: a roster full of experienced upperclassmen. Through six games, it appears those expectations were justified. The Bulls (6-0) traveled to Ithaca for the Cornell Tournament this weekend hoping to stay perfect after going undefeated in their first three matches last weekend.

Fifty-six points and 501 total yards. These are not the final statistics for Baylor against Buffalo this weekend, or even its box score the week before against Wofford - an FCS school. These are Baylor's first-half statistics against the Bulls. This was supposed to be the greatest defense in program history - where was it? The Bulls have allowed 110 points in their first two games of the season, highlighted by the 70-13 embarrassment against Baylor Saturday.

Bulls fall to No. 2 Ohio State

COLUMBUS, OHIO - In the middle of the third quarter, with No. 2 Ohio State (1-0) stalling in its own territory, senior linebacker Khalil Mack sacked quarterback Braxton Miller and forced a fumble. The play would have given the Bulls (0-1) the ball on the Buckeyes' 2-yard line, down by just 10 and threatening to make it a one-possession game. But it was called back because of an illegal-hands-to-the-face penalty on Mack, and Ohio State got a new set of downs and the ball spotted on its 37-yard line.

Joe Licata The camp competitions are over. The questions and debates are halted. The Bulls have decided on who will start under center and, as expected, it's the man who led Buffalo to victory in three of its final four games. Sophomore Joe Licata will be under center for what should be one of the most prolific offenses in recent memory at UB this football season. Following long winter workouts and spring ball, Licata emerged as the obvious choice for head coach Jeff Quinn for the 2013 season. With Licata at the helm, Buffalo scored at least 27 points in three of its final four games.
