Men’s Basketball (15-4, MAC 9-7) The Men’s Basketball team lost the annual blackout game on Friday 89-83 to the Akron Zips (23-6, MAC 13-3). The game drew a large crowd because of the hype around the team and the free t-shirts.
Softball (14-27, 8-6 Mid-American Conference) The Bulls dominated their weekend series with Bowling Green (16-27, 4-10 MAC) at Nan Harvey Field.
Men’s basketball (17-14, 10-8 Mid-American Conference) The Bulls finished their final game of the regular season with a dramatic victory.

Buffalo, which went just 13-37 in Peel’s second season last year after an impressive and unexpected conference championship game appearance in 2014, is going to be relying on freshman heavily this season. Eight of the team’s 21 players are freshmen.

The first-year Buffalo head softball coach has won an SEC Player of the Year award, represented her country in the Junior Olympic games and excelled as a coach largely because of this simple yet often misunderstood trait.
