This week, both The Spectrum and Generation continued a long-time tradition for our respective publications: we printed our endorsements for the Student Association elections.After interviewing and examining the entire field of candidates vying to be our next leaders, our editorial boards decided on who we believe to be the best men and women for our collective future - and we shared our opinions with our readers.Even though we both went through a similar process, SA saw our two publications very differently; The Spectrum was considered an approved organization to endorse candidates, Generation was not.Here's why.SA policy mandates that candidates running for office may only be endorsed by groups that have SA's prior approval.

When it comes to UB Student Association politics, Kissinger couldn't have been more right.On Tuesday Student Association Vice President Leslie Meister posted a Facebook note damning running mates Peter Grollitsch and Ashish Abraham of the Progress party - the party she ran against last year - with no other intent than to state her disapproval of them.

When the Student Association election polls opened Tuesday at 10 a.m., the Progress party's candidates for president and vice president had it easy - they were the only top job hopefuls on the ballot.The Greater Tomorrow party's duo, Robert Mercurio and Scott Swamback, vying for president and vice president respectively, resigned from the race on Monday.Christopher Mendoza, the leader of UB Redefine, was also absent from the field of candidates, but not by choice.
