Teeny moppers

One look at the cover of "Greetings from Imrie House" makes it obvious that The Click Five have the perfect pretty faces and sloppy, mop haircuts to pull in a very specific audience.

Considering that, they've toured with Ashlee Simpson and Aaron Carter, and have upcoming dates with Ryan Cabrera. Their fan base generally consists of pop-radio-loving teenage girls.

Well, at least The Click Five cop to their pop status. But with allusions to The Beatles in their haircuts and attire, as well as admitted aspirations of Beatle-mania-like popularity, they have taken it a step too far.

The Click Five earn credit by writing the majority of their own music, an anomaly among pop musicians. However, when considering their simplicity and lack of originality, it's surprising that all five of them graduated from the Berklee College of Music.

Taken from the perspective of a teenybopper, The Click Five meets all the requirements of fun and catchy tunes with their single "Just the Girl," as well as "Pop Princess" and "Friday Night."

Songs like "I'll Take My Chances" and "Say Goodnight" offer the other side of the spectrum with heartbreaking lyrics set to upbeat tunes that keep the album moving.

Although The Click Five do not offer the music world anything it hasn't heard before, the tunes are perfect for airy foot tapping, and the lyrics are away-message worthy.

And there's nothing wrong with that.
