On the 257th pick, in the seventh round of the 2026 National Football League (NFL) draft, graduate linebacker and National Collegiate Athletic Association forced fumble record holder (17), Red Murdock was drafted to the Denver Broncos.

After leading Fork Union Military Academy to a perfect 8-0 season in high school, Murdock began his collegiate career in Buffalo. In his first season Murdock played in six games, registering six tackles on the season. By the end of his sophomore year, Murdock started to bring the heat, starting the final six games of the season and ranking third on the team in tackles. By junior year, Murdock started all 12 games and was nationally ranked in tackles, with 256 on the season.

This past 2025 season Murdock put on a show, finishing the fall as the State University of New York Student-Athlete of the Season and being named a second team All American. Off the field, Murdock was a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy commonly referred to as the "Academic Heisman."

In addition to Murdock, sixth year offensive lineman, Tyler Doty, was extended an invite to the Seattle Seahawks Rookie Minicamp and fifth year offensive lineman, Trevor Brock, was invited to the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills Rookie Minicamps.
