Jon Amitrano, one of UB's most visible "Mighty Maniacs," is moving out of Alumni Arena and into the squared circle of the World Wrestling Federation.
Amitrano dropped out of school on Monday afternoon after Vince McMahon, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, flew in to Buffalo and arrived at the Red Jacket Quadrangle with a six-figure contract in hand.
"How could I not sign on the dotted line?" said Amitrano. "I'm going to be making more money wearing silly spandex than any stuck-up engineer major at this school ever will be!"
McMahon was visibly pleased with his latest acquisition.
"What we have here is 180 pounds of pure insanity," said McMahon. "Amitrano, or should I say 'the Blue Monster,' is the wave of the future of the WWF. This kid will surpass all the great 'psycho' characters that have come before him, and that includes Nailz, Mankind and the Berzerker."
The conditions of Amitrano's contract include a headlining match at next year's Wrestlemania XXI with the Big Boss Man in a "nightstick on a pole" match. The Big Boss Man flew in with McMahon for a photo-op with Amitrano.
"I've got my eyes glued on this punk," Boss Man told the WWF Magazine. "I'm making sure he doesn't spit on the sidewalk; I'm making sure he walks the straight and narrow. If he takes one step out of line, the Boss Man will be all over him like stink on a skunk! I'll paint a picture for you, when scum like this gets out of Alumni Arena, I'm not a happy man at all!"
Amitrano and his then manager, "Rappin'" Rob Suglia, were nearby when Boss Man made these comments and had retorts of their own.
"When my boy Amitrano uses his finishing move, 'The Sea of Blue Piledriver,' on you, you're not going to be able to spell Mighty Maniac," screamed Suglia.
When Amitrano heard this, he powerbombed Suglia off of the Ellicott terrace and through a picnic table, subsequently firing him.
"Boss Man," snarled Amitrano. "You're going to be in a world of pain when I slap you around like the punk you are! It's about time you learned the true definition of 'hard time'"
A scuffle broke out after Boss Man was called a punk, and only Ron "the sandwich guy" could break things up between the two superstars and their posses.
Amitrano will be making his debut as "the Blue Monster" on Thursday night's WWE Smackdown!, which will air at 8 p.m. on UPN.
