Men’s basketball (9-22, 4-14 MAC) finished the season in 11th place in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) with George Harcovage III as head coach. The team has lost many key players after this season so it begs the question, what is next for men’s basketball?
In early April, Ezra McKenna was acquired as an exciting addition to the team. McKenna is a forward from the University of Mobile, where he has spent the last four years. His time spent in Mobile earned him 1,565 points, 103 games played and 3,238 minutes. He earned 437 points last season with a season high of 30 points.
Forward Mickhail Pocknett transferred from King University. In the two years with this program he had 1,209 points in 60 total games played and averaged 20.1 points. He had a season high of eight assists.
Angelo Brizzi was the next player signed to the Bulls. He completed one season with Longwood University as a guard, where he played in 32 games. He has a 40.2% from three-point range, 48 steals in the season, and a career high of 17 points.
Kyle Jones is transferring in from St. Thomas Aquinas, where he played as a guard and forward. During his time in this program, he had a total of 34 rebounds, 20.4 points per game, and seven steals, five of which were in conference play.
Daniel Freitag is another player added to next year’s roster, a point guard from University of Wisconsin. He played in 14 games with two points. He was a highly recruited player out of high school, ranked the 11th best point guard in the country.
The two final recruits added to the team next season are Aleksa Vlajic and Evan Romano. Romano is a point guard averaging 13 points and 4.4 assists per game at St. Rose High School. Vlajic is a forward from Belgrade, Serbia averaging 20.2 points and 10 rebounds per game at Hoosac School.
The Bulls new additions will hopefully allow for better standings in the MAC conference and a new excitement, both for fans and the team itself.
