Buffalo men’s basketball (4-0, 0-0 MAC) continues its undefeated streak with an 80-64 win over the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Tigers (0-3, 0-0 Liberty League) on Nov. 15. Sophomore guard Daniel Freitag led the Bulls with a career-high 27 points and five assists, dominating at the free-throw line by going 14-of-15, helping to seal UB’s victory.

Senior guard and forward Noah Batchelor added 14 points, seven rebounds and a career-best of four three-pointers, while graduate guard Angelo Brizzi contributed 10 points.

RIT opened the game strong, scoring the first six points in under a minute, but Buffalo was able to quickly recover. A three-pointer from Batchelor gave the Bulls their first lead of 10-9. The two teams went back and forth, remaining close for most of the first half until the final minutes before halftime, when the Bulls surged. Freitag, Batchelor and Brizzi started racking up points and Buffalo closed the half leading 50-28 and outscoring RIT 36-13.

RIT came back with a new spark of energy in the second half, outscoring Buffalo 36-30. Despite the Tigers’ best efforts to close the gap in points, Buffalo remained in control, keeping at least a 15-point lead throughout the entire second half.

The game ended with a final score of 80-64, bringing Buffalo another win. UB’s teamwork and dedication on the court secured their fourth straight win of the season, and their momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Buffalo now looks ahead to two upcoming home games at Alumni Arena, playing the Vermont Catamounts (0-4, 0-0 America East) on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m., and the Virginia Military Institute Keydets (3-2, 0-0 Southern) on Monday, Nov. 24 at 2:30 p.m. Both matchups will be streamed on ESPN+.
