The Buffalo Albright Knox Gallery (AKG) Art Museum isn't just a place to view art, it's an experience for seeing creativity in the modern world. Located in the heart of Buffalo on Elmwood Avenue, the museum feels like a piece of art itself with the public glass walled bridge connecting the buildings to the studios and courtyard.

One of the most inspiring parts of the museum was not just the older work from legends; it’s the work created within the building by the hands of Buffalo residents. Located in the Seymour H. Knox Building is the M&T Bank Gallery, “Made At The Museum,” which is the museum’s accessibility program. This program brings artists across Western New York to showcase their creativity with others. This program doesn't require you to be an artist; regardless of your artistic ability, everyone is welcome. Over the past year, more than a dozen artists within twelve organizations have come together and taken part in these programs. Participants include  Amherst School District, Frontier School District, Buffalo Public School District, Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Starlight Studio Art gallery and many more.

These pieces show how much the museum values individuality. “Made At The Museum” is showcasing from June 6 to Oct. 20. The Buffalo AKG Art Museum is open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with student rates available. I definitely recommend checking this out, and to take time to learn the history of the building and all it has to offer .
