Women’s soccer played two games in four days, a 1-0 victory at Toledo on Thursday and a 1-1 draw at home against Western Michigan on Sunday.

Sophomore forward Jasmine Guerber scored the game’s one and only goal at 26:51 against Toledo. Junior midfielder Payton Robertson and freshman midfielder Katie Krohn snagged the assists. It was Guerber’s sixth goal in ten games and it her first since Sept. 1 against Canisius.

Despite only having one goal to show for it the Bulls outshot the Rockets, 18 to 6. Fifth year goalkeeper Emma Kelly finished the night perfect, stopping all three shots on net. The victory propelled UB to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in the MAC. The win over Toledo also broke a program record, as it marked the squad’s seventh consecutive shutout victory.

The Bulls then faced off against Western Michigan this past Sunday at UB Stadium.  UB fought the Broncos to a 1-1 draw. WMU forward Reagan Wisser opened the scoring in the 15th minute, the first goal surrendered by UB in over a month.

The Broncos outshot the Bulls, 11-3, in that opening half but the Bulls looked like a different team in the second half. Junior midfielder Leah Wengender buried a pass from Guerber to knot the score at one a piece in the 60th minute.

Neither team managed to score another goal, snapping UB’s win and shutout streak. Still coming off the best start in program history, the Bulls look to continue the momentum on Thursday as they take a trip to Oxford, OH to take on the Miami (OH) RedHawks.
