Junior guard Dyaisha Fair announced Tuesday that she will reunite with former UB head coach Felisha Legette-Jack in Syracuse.

Fair, a Rochester native, is the fourth former UB player to transfer to SU, joining Georgia Woolley, Cheyenne McEvans and Saniaa Wilson. Fair, Woolley and McEvans have all been MAC Freshman of the Year in the last three years.

The Edison Tech grad was fourth in the nation in scoring last season, at 23.1 points per game. She earned first-team All-MAC honors. Fair also averaged two steals, 4.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game in her junior campaign.

As a sophomore, the 5-foot-5 guard earned first-team All-MAC and All-Defensive honors, as she tallied 24.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.9 steals per game. Fair became the 14th fastest player in women’s Division I basketball history to 1,000 points, accomplishing the feat in 44 games. Fair was a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award, awarded to the best point guard in the nation, and a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award.

Fair made an instant impact in her first year at UB, as she earned MAC Freshman of the Year and was named MAC East Player of the Week four times. Fair scored in double figures in 28 games and tallied 22 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game as a freshman.
