Bills promote former Bull

Former UB cornerback is earning his spot on the Bills

The Buffalo Bills filled their 53rd and final roster spot by promoting former UB star Cam Lewis to their active roster Thursday.

Lewis, who began the season on the Bills’ practice squad was promoted to the active roster after starting cornerback Josh Norman was placed on the Injured-Reserve list..  Lewis made his NFL debut last Sunday against the Jets, but only played six special teams snaps.

Due to the COVID-19 roster amendment protocol, Lewis will have a chance to make an appearance against the Dolphins this weekend, but can be sent back to the practice squad after the game, similar to what happened in week one.

Lewis had 156 total tackles and five interceptions in his four years at UB. He was signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL draft, making his NFL debut last Sunday.
