Can you do it all night?
The Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement (CSLCE) will hold its annual Stay-Up UB event this Friday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Stay-Up UB will feature live performances, a DJ, lots of food and plenty of dancing, among plenty of other activities.
"We have inflatables, bingo, DDR, a game room, a tie dying station, a photo booth, henna tattoos and lots more," said Terri Budek, community engagement coordinator.
All money raised at this year's event will be going toward Pennies for Peace, a not-for-profit organization that provides access to education for children in countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan.
"[Pennies for Peace] was chosen partly in conjunction with the UB Reads book, the organization that Greg Mortenson worked with," said Budek. "Many people on the committee really liked what the organization stood for and brought it up as a potential charity."
Students can either help by attending the event or by volunteering. People interested in volunteering can visit 235 Student Union.
Students who register online by 4 p.m. on Wednesday can register for a reduced price of $7. For students who are unable to register by that date, $10 tickets can be purchased at 235 SU before the event or at the door.
"I think it's a good way to get involved with philanthropy on campus," Budek said. "It's a fun activity to do on a Friday night and good way to build pride and tradition at UB, as well as bring people together for a good cause."
