Unfortunately, break-ins and thefts commonly occur in student housing, particularly on the streets surrounding South Campus.
This Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon, the University Presbyterian Church at 3330 Main Street (on the corner of Niagara Falls Boulevard) is offering a seminar on how to safe-proof homes and streets from intruders and accidents. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and refreshments will be served.
The University Heights Collaborative, a community-based organization that focuses on enhancing the communication and coordination of resources between renters, landlords, UB staff and law-enforcement officers, is hosting the event.
