???The men's tennis team faced two in-state opponents over the weekend. On the road for both matches, the Bulls received put up results.
???Buffalo (3-2) began the weekend by beating down cross-town rival Niagara (1-5) 7-0 on Friday. However, the Bulls realized how it felt to be on the other end of a blowout only a day later, falling to Binghamton (4-1) on Saturday.
???For the second straight season, the Bulls handed the Purple Eagles a decisive loss. The Bulls captured all nine matches against Niagara.
???Buffalo didn't waste any time in their doubles matches. Junior Kirill Kolomytes and sophomore Marcelo Mazzetto ended the first match quickly, winning 8-2 win over Niagara's Marc Dickinson and Roman Silin.
???Sophomore Mitch Zenaty and freshman Alex Kalinin continued Buffalo's success. They captured an 8-5 victory over Niagara's Joe Heckley and Nick Bolea. Freshmen Kristof Custers and Gui Smaniotto completed the doubles sweep with a 8-1 win over Niagara's David Lemieux-Sarrasin and Joeseph Zelic.
???Buffalo carried their momentum into singles play, winning every set in six matches against the Purple Eagles. Dominating performances from Custers and Zenaty highlighted the singles portion of the match. Custers won his match over David Lemieux-Sarrasin 6-0, 6-1 while Zenaty knocked off Joe Heckley 6-1, 6-0.
???The success didn't last all weekend as the Binghamton Bearcats took apart the Bulls, 7-0.
???Buffalo remained competitive in numerous matches Saturday. Two doubles teams were able to force tiebreakers. Kolomyts and Mazzetto forced a tiebreaker against Gilbert Wong and Sven Vloedgraven before dropping the match. Kalinin and Zenaty also fell in a tiebreaker to Alexandre Haggai and Arnay Jain of Binghamton.
???Buffalo lost all six singles matches. Kalinin was barely knocked off by Jain 7-6, 6-3. Kalinin pushed the first set to four tiebreakers before dropping the set and eventually the match.
???The Bulls return to the tennis courts when they take on Duquense at home on Friday. The match starts at 5 p.m.
