Bulls successful at Doug Raymond Invite
???On Saturday, Buffalo's men's and women's track teams headed to Kent State University for the Doug Raymond Invite. There, they competed against 40 college and club programs from across the nation.
???Buffalo's men earned two first-place finishes as well as two second-place victories. The women's team won two individual titles in field events while adding three second place finishes to the day.
???A victory by Greg Tarshus of the men's team in the high jump highlighted the day. Tarshus improved on his season-best performance of 2.00 meters to take first place.
???For the women's team, Fatimah Hill and Kim Black won their respective jumping events for the Bulls. Hill won the long jump with her jump of 5.73 meters, while Black was victorious in the triple jump with a jump of 11.53 meters.
???The Bulls will be back on the road this Friday when they head to Cornell for the Cornell Upstate Challenge. The event will take place all weekend.
Bulls' signee makes All-America team
???Pitcher Darren Travers, a signee for the 2009-10 baseball recruiting class, has shown promise in the game after being named to the Southern California First Team Pre-Season All-America team by Collegiate Baseball.
???Travers is one of three pictures from 100 teams to be named to the squad. He will be transferring to Buffalo after posting a 5-4 record at Cero Coso Community College.
