Richard chosen to play in Hula Bowl
Senior center Jamey Richard was selected to play in the 62nd annual Hula Bowl on Jan. 12, 2008 in Honolulu. Richard has propelled the Buffalo offense to the most points scored in their Division I history. He has been the anchor of the Bulls offense and helped two teammates have a shot to set school records. Former tight end/long snapper Aaron Johnson, who played in the Hula Bowl in 2004, was the only other Bull to play in the game before.

Swimmers gain MAC Swimmers of the Week
For the second time this season, two Bulls swimmers have been selected as the Mid-American Conference Swimmers of the Week. Sophomore Andrea Lehner won the female honor as she won five individual meets and was a member of the winning relay team from last weekend. Lehner broke the school record in the 500-yard freestyle, had a season-best time in the 200-yard medley, and swam the opening backstroke leg in the 200-yard medley relay against Eastern Michigan. The next day versus Ball State, she won the 200-yard freestyle, swam a season-best and MAC leading mark in the 100-yard freestyle finishing in 51.64.
On the men's side, junior Zach Ruske won MAC male award for the week. Ruske won three individual titles and had a second place finish for the weekend. He tied for first in the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:44. This is the second fastest time in the MAC this season. Against Ball State, Ruske won the 200-yard individual medley and also won the 100-yard freestyle in a season-best time.
